FOR
black women
and femmes
who want to go PLANT-BASED for their health

Maybe you’ve been to the doctor several times with the same symptoms, but you never get any real answers.
Maybe your digestion feels off, your joints ache, your skin isn't acting right, or your monthly bleeding completely wipes you out for days every time. Or maybe you're waking up tired even after a full night's sleep or your weight keeps creeping up no matter what you do.
Or maybe you’re dealing with something much more serious.
You keep hearing about plant-based eating and how much it helps people, and you want to believe it could work for you too.
But every time you try, or even think about trying, you feel stuck. You don't know what to eat, the food feels boring and restrictive, or life just gets in the way and you end up right back where you started.
After a while it starts to feel like maybe this just isn't for you.
It can feel discouraging. But I want you to know it’s possible.
You really can go plant-based, stick with it, and actually enjoy the process.

You're welcome here
Learning something new is a really vulnerable experience. And things feel even more intense when the topic is your health, your body, and your struggles with food.
My background is in education, and I've seen over and over again that people can only really take things in when they feel safe and comfortable. For black women and femmes, that kind of safety is hard to come by in mainstream wellness spaces. So I created something just for us.
This is also a supportive space for any black person who has felt unseen or unwelcome in mainstream wellness, including people who are queer, trans, nonbinary, fat, disabled, and neurodivergent. Everyone here deserves to just be themselves and be treated with respect. If that's not something you wholeheartedly agree with, this space isn't for you.
There's more on this on my about page if you're curious.

Hi, |'m Simone.
I grew up dealing with a long list of health issues and doctors weren’t any help, so I went looking for my own answers. I eventually stumbled across plant-based eating. I struggled a lot at first, but once I got the hang of it, all of my health issues either went away completely or got a lot better. I've been eating this way for the past 20 years or so, and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
Along the way, I started helping people around me make similar changes, and seeing them feel better and start participating more fully in their lives inspired me to do this work more formally.
Now I focus on helping black women and femmes. I have over 20 years of experience as a university lecturer and instructional designer, so I know how to take something like this that feels overwhelming and break it down into manageable steps.
And as a Taurus who genuinely loves food, one of my favorite things is showing people that eating this way doesn't mean taking all the joy out of food. In fact, a lot of people are surprised by how much they enjoy it, often even more than what they were eating before.
